If the Mountain Won't Come to You ...

Just back from interstate, where I travelled several thousand miles to attend my nephew's wedding.

No, I wasn't the exception - he and his bride had travelled the same distance from their home at the other end of the country to attend their own wedding.

If the mountain won't come to Mahommet, Mahommet must come to the mountain ... isn't that the old saying?

The point is, he lives in a mining community which is pretty much left to its own devices. Capital cities are serviced by cheap airfares, but they don't extend to where he lives.

Which meant that all his old school buddies and rellies would not be able to afford to attend the wedding if they held it where they live.

Solution? Hold it near where they grew up, in a place serviced by good roads anad cheap airfares.

It worked. Sometimes, you just have to be flexible when you want to help your self.
