Self Help Feminar Parody

Perhaps it takes a theater review of something like 'Self-Help: The Parody' to succinctly summarize the essentials of personal development...

Marcia Morphy reviews this theater production in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, opening with the lines:

"Attention all goddesses: Stay centered, take a deep breath and get in touch with your inner soul.

"It's time to stop the pity parties because you're overweight, depressed, lost your husband to another woman or still confused while watching Dr. Phil mediate the battle of the sexes.

"Scrape up the courage to healthier self-esteem and attend a workshop on Self Help: The Comedy, which was generously received by an overflow of male and female "Love Goddesses in Training" during its debut at Downstairs Cabaret Theatre."

It's a laugh, with a useful undertone...
