Christmas Lights a Metaphor
Christmas lights strung around the fronts of buildings and up in trees have given a cheery glow to this season.
But as the weather and time wear on, many of the bulbs have called it a day, and gone out.
In some strings, that means total darkness. In others, just a gap-toothed smile.
Isn't that a metaphor for self help?
