The Value of Trying
We've all heard it ... "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."
Listening to Dr Robert Anthony yesterday, I was struck by the futility of that old foil.
The second of his 3 success secrets is "DON't try."
Why? Well, let's do an exercise.
Try to pick up a small nearby object.
How'd it go? Did you succeed?
If you didn't, you failed. If you did, you succeeded.
See the difference? The idea is NOT to 'try', but to 'DO'.
'Try' is giving yourself excuses for failure, setting your mind to 'excuse'.
'Do' is just that ... success.
Oh and don't try this at home :)
